Patricia Leddy RIP, Corlismore
Sincere sympathies from Cornafean GFC to our footballers Jason and Aoife Miney and Fiona Morrow on the recent passing of their grandmother Patricia Leddy, Corlismore and from Cornafean Scor to the Leddy sisters on their Mother's passing, Sheila, Breege, Rosemary, Eileen, Anna and Colette who all represented Cornafean down through the years in both Junior and Senior Scor. May Patricia rest in peace.
Stephen O'Reilly RIP, Drumconlester, Killeshandra
Cornafean GFC express their sympathies to the family and friends of Stephen O'Reilly, Drumconlester who passed away recently. Stephen is fondly remembered from when he played on the Reds Senior Team in the early years of the 60's and as a versatile and reliable player. His funeral mass and burial took place in St. Brigids Church, Killeshandra. May he rest in peace.
Cornafean GFC AGM
As our AGM has been deferred until the end of current restrictions, club membership renewal has also been postponed. 2020 Lotto Annual Subscription will continue until then as well. Online lotto continues as usual. Wishing all our members a happy New Year and thank you for your support.
Well done George
Well done to George Cartwright who was a guest of John Murray on RTE Radio 1 Sunday Sport on Sunday evening last. Speaking on his new publication "The Gallant John Joe Cavan's Millenium Man" George gave a brief synopsis of the life and career of John Joe and the many friends and former colleagues of the great man he liaised with as he researched his book. "The Gallant John Joe Cavan's Millenium Man" continues to be available in all good book stores.
