What will going to GAA games be like in the future? A wit on the hoganstand.com forum has come up with a gem.
For years going to big football or hurling games has seen street hawkers selling their wares on the way to the ground. Hearing the call of 'Get your hats, scarves and headbands' is almost as much part of the match day experience as the nerves that accompany the pregame national anthem.
In a new world that requires social distancing or even wearing face masks in public spaces we could see hawkers include masks as part of their offerings.
“The lads selling hats scarfs and headbands will have another one to add to their list, won't sound the same though - hats, scarfs, headbands or face masks doesn't really have a great ring to it but I am sure they will come up with something to make it all rhyme,” commented our forum user Zinny.
A touch of genius if you ask us.
