St Mullins and Mount Leinster Rangers will cross swords in the Carlow senior hurling championship final once more after both sides came through their respective semi-finals today.
St Mullins were comfortable in a 0-20 to 1-7 victory over Ballinkillen at Netwatch Cullen Park, where the winners had led by eight points at the halfway stage.
Craig Wall’s goal seven minutes after the restart gave the trailers some hope but the defending champions soon got motoring again and won out by double figures in the end.
Mount Leinster Rangers were pushed closer in their last four clash against last year’s runners up Bagenalstown at the same venue.
MLR had trailed by a point at half-time before kicking into gear and eventually claiming the 0-20 to 0-15 win that sets up a repeat of the 2021 decider.
It’ll mark the 10th time that the two rivals have squared off the in Carlow SHC final since 2006.
Tweet2004 was the last time a Carlow Senior Hurling Championship Final was contested without either MLR or St Mullins in it.
