Niall Carew will serve a fifth season as Carlow senior football manager following his reappointment last night.
The Kildare native, who previously managed Sligo and Waterford, took the Carlow reins in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 and led the Barrowsiders in that year's delayed Leinster SFC when they lost to Offaly in the first round.
Carlow lost to neighbours Wicklow in this year's Leinster SFC before avenging that defeat with a memorable comeback win in the Tailteann Cup. They went on to reach the quarter-final of the second-tier championship where they came up short against Antrim.
Carew will once again be assisted by Simon Rea, Ronan Joyce and former Kildare captain Eamonn Callaghan, but not Victor Doyle who has stepped down from his selector's role.
