St Sinchills Camogie Club Notes

June 28, 2021

St Sinchills Under 10 team that played in the blitz in Killeigh on Saturday.

Under 10:

Well done to our under 10 girls who played their second blitz of the year on Saturday.

Thanks to Edenderry, Drumcullen and Kilcormac for traveling over to Killeigh for a great morning of Camogie.

A big thanks to all our coaches, referees and helpers for their continued commitment and helping organise a brilliant morning.

Under 14:

Our Under 14 girls travelled to Carrig on Thursday evening. On what was a wet and miserable evening our girls put in a solid game but unfortunately came up short in a close encounter. Final score, St Cillians 3-3, St Sinchills 2-2.

Thank you to all the supporters who travelled to cheer on the ladies.

Intermediate League Round 3:

Our Intermediate girls took on Tullamore in round 3 of the league on Tuesday evening in Dr Kelly Park.

With both teams already having two out of two wins and set to face each other in 2 weeks time in the league final this game lacked the competitive edge that the previous two league games had.

Tullamore started the game well and were much the better team in the first half with the half time score standing at 3-5 to 2 points.

St Sinchills worked hard after the break. The defence tightened up and Lauren Keenahan finished a long ball in from an Eabha Flanagan free to the net. Tullamore continued to tag on a few more points to leave the final score 3-10 to 1-5. These two teams will meet again on Wednesday 7th July in the Intermediate League Final.

Offaly Under 14:

Congratulations to Caoimhe O'Toole, AnneMae Clear and Kayla Lawlor who were selected on Offaly Panel 1 who played Kilkenny in Crinkle on Saturday and Sinéad Nunan who was selected on Offaly Panel 2 who played Laois in Trumera GAA on Saturday.

Well done to the girls on their first game and best of luck in the season ahead!

Offaly Under 16:

Congratulations to Sarah Dillon and all the Offaly U16 team and management on another very impressive win against Laois on Sunday afternoon. Final score: Offaly 4-20 Laois 1-3

Lotto Bonus Ball:

Congratulations to our week 6 winners with No.13: The Conroy Family and Joe Cunningham
