Cork's 2007 hopes have received a massive boost with the news that the O'Connor twins, Ben and Jerry, have rejoined the county squad ahead of Sunday's crunch NHL Division 1A clash with Clare. The Newtownshandrum stars have played no part in the campaign to date because of long-standing injuries, but they will be among the Cork substitutes for Sunday's trip to Ennis and could see action at some stage. There had been reports earlier this month that former All-Ireland winning captain Ben would be sidelined for the season, but he has opted to postpone surgery on a groin/hip problem in order to play. The brothers come into the panel in place of Mickey O'Connell and Killian Cronin, who have withdrawn their services. Both players featured in the early rounds, but have been out of favour in recent outings.
