All-Ireland champions Tipp have a new captain for 2017

Michael Ryan has handed the captaincy of the Tipperary senior hurlers to Padraic Maher for 2017.
The Thurles Sarsfields clubman will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of his namesake Brendan Maher who lifted the Liam MacCarthy Cup on behalf of the Premier County this year.
Free-scoring forward Seamus Callanan will fill the vice-captain role.
