Castleknock have become the first team to reach the semi-finals of the 2016 Dublin SFC after beating Skerries Harps by 2-14 to 0-10 tonight.
Goals from Shane Boland and Mikey Galvin either side of the break proved decisive as Lar Norton's charges advanced past Skerries at Parnell Park.
Boland's strike on the quarter hour mark after good work from Graham Hannigan helped the Somerton outfit into a 1-6 to 0-7 half-time lead.
Steven Smith's eight point contribution kept Skerries in touch but the corner forward's unerring accuracy was matched by Dessie Carlos at the opposite end.
Ciaran Kilkenny sent over a superb score for the winners late on before Galvin grabbed their second goal to put the contest beyond doubt.
Kilmacud Crokes and St Jude's meet in the second part of a double-bill at the Donnycarney venue with throw-in at 8.15pm.
Congratulations to @CastleknockGAA on being the 1st team to qualify for this years #DSFC2016 Finals.
