Fr Caseys ended a 20-year wait for Limerick senior football championship honours after holding off Kildimo-Pallaskenry with a 0-16 to 2-8 win at Mick Neville Park this afternoon.
The Abbeyfeale side led 0-8 to 0-6 at half-time, with Eliah Riordan, Adrian Enright and Ronan Quirke leading the scoring charge.
Ronan Quirke continued to impress after the restart, finishing with six points to his name, while Enright and Riordan contributed three apiece as Fr Caseys looked to take control.
Kildimo-Pallaskenry threatened a comeback through second-half goals from Paudi Hartigan and Cathal Downes, but Keith Hartnett's men managed to maintain their advantage despite a tense finish.
Peter Nash finished with 0-6 for the defeated finalists and had a late free to snatch victory, but Fr Caseys held firm to secure their club’s ninth SFC crown and book a Munster semi-final spot against either Nemo Rangers or Loughmore-Castleiney in the process.
