Edendork manager Brian McGuckin believes his side can make their mark in the Ulster club senior football championship after securing a historic first-ever Tyrone title.

The Tyrone champions face Down winners Clonduff at Pairc Esler tomorrow evening (6.15pm), just over a week after their memorable O'Neill Cup final triumph over Errigal Ciaran (after a replay).

Having achieved their main objective, McGuckin told BBC Sport NI that he's looking forward to seeing how his side fare on the provincial stage while acknowledging the challenge posed by their opponents.

“Ulster wasn't in our mind at all, our sole focus was Tyrone, but now we've accomplished winning the Tyrone championship we see Ulster as a great way for us to go out and express ourselves and who knows where we can end up," he said.

“We're confident in our ability and we hope we can give a good account of ourselves.

McGuckin also highlighted the importance of the experienced players within his squad, such as Tyrone stars Niall Morgan, Darren McCurry and Conn Kilpatrick, who have played a key role in their successful campaign.

“They've been there and done it and they've been massive for us all year, but we've a lot of experience in our team," he added.

“Clonduff are a fabulous team, I've watched the Down final and they're very impressive.

“They're a big, strong, physical team, they like to play direct football, but they're very sharp up front.

“We'll have our work cut out, but we'll be well prepared."
