Naas made it an eighth consecutive Kildare senior hurling championship title with a 3-13 to 0-11 victory over Maynooth at Cedral St Conleth’s Park this afternoon.
It was Maynooth that made a blistering start to this decider, hitting the opening five points to build towards a 0-7 to 0-5 lead at half-time.
Jack Sheridan’s two points early in the second-half levelled matters for the holders before Cathal Dowling struck the decisive goal in the 38th minute.
Brian Byrne and substitute Fionn Maher added two goals in the closing stages to put a gloss on the scoreline and secure another title for Naas.
Sheridan finished with six points, with Naas now turning their attention to the Leinster club SHC after extending their dominance in Kildare.
