Kilmallock captured their 13th Limerick senior hurling championship title with a thrilling 3-19 to 1-22 victory over Na Piarsaigh at the TUS Gaelic Grounds this afternoon.
Pierce Connery’s four first-half frees helped Kilmallock recover from an early deficit to lead 0-12 to 0-9 at the interval.
Shane O’Brien struck a crucial goal early in the second-half, while Mark O’Loughlin added a point as Kilmallock looked to take control.
Na Piarsaigh responded with a William O’Donoghue goal, but Oisín O’Reilly found the net for Kilmallock to restore their advantage.
Connery finished with eight points before Graeme Mulcahy’s spectacular long-range goal helped seal the victory and spark celebrations for his club.
Having claimed their first John Daly Cup since 2021, Kilmallock now look forward to a Munster club SHC campaign where they'll be up against Ballygunner first on November 15th.
