Glen Rovers claimed their 28th Cork Premier senior hurling championship title after overcoming St Finbarr’s 2-20 to 0-23 at Páirc Uí Chaoimh.

The Blackpool outfit trailed 0-12 to 0-10 at half-time but rallied after the break, with Luke Horgan leading the scoring.

Eoin O’Leary proved decisive for the victors, firing home twice in the second-half to swing the contest in Glen’s favour. His second goal arrived in the 55th minute, opening up a five-point advantage for the eventual champions.

Barrs fought to the finish with Ethan Twomey adding late scores to keep their hopes alive.

However, a crucial stoppage-time save from Cathal Hickey ensured Glen Rovers held on to secure the Seán Óg Murphy Cup for the first time in a decade.
