The Harps are through to their first Laois SHC final in 28 years after a brilliant 4-16 to 2-19 victory over three-in-a-row seeking Clough/Ballacolla at Laois Hire O’Moore Park yesterday.
Eoin Delaney scored a hat-trick of goals for the Durrow men, but it was wing-back Eoghan Murphy’s last-gasp goal from long range that won the day. Ciaran Comerford also weighed in with 0-7 for the winners who led by 2-11 to 1-8 at the break.
The Harps’ opponents in the decider on Sunday week will be Camross who saw off Rosenallis by 2-16 to 2-11 in the other last-four tie at Laois GAA HQ. After a slow start, the black and ambers eventually got going and took a 1-6 to 0-7 lead into the interval thanks to Darren Drennan’s goal.
Tomas ‘Mossy’ Keyes added a second shortly after the restart and Camross never looked back after that, despite Conor Cosgrove and John Lennon goals for Rosenallis.
