The All-Ireland minor football championship is down to its semi-finals stage following today’s results in the Tom Markham Cup race.
Defending champions Tyrone made their goals count in a 3-17 to 0-19 win against Galway in Ashbourne, where Brian Óg McGuckin and Matthew Daly (2) hit the net for the Red Hands.
The Ulster champions will now play Kildare on the weekend of June 20/21 after the Lilywhites knocked out Kerry with a 4-12 to 2-13 victory to progress through to the last four.
Jack Reilly’s early goal set the tone for the Leinster champions, who led by 1-11 to 0-5 at half-time, and they’d score three more majors after the change of ends via Cian Keogh (2) and Callum Cowzer to seal their place in the semis.
