Dublin moved into the Leinster senior hurling championship final against Galway after a superb 1-26 to 0-22 victory over Kilkenny at Parnell Park this afternoon.
The scores of Donal Burke and John Hetherton helped the capital men to lead by 0-15 to 0-11 at the half and, with Kilkenny trimming their deficit down to one with a couple of scores from TJ Reid and Eoin Cody, the hosts pulled three clear again before winning a 50th minute penalty which Burke dispatched to the net.
From there, the scores of Diarmuid O Dulaing, Conal O Riain, Burke and Ronan Hayes would see Dublin over the line to a famous win which marks the Cats’ earliest championship exit in 30 years.

Niall Ó Ceallacháin’s side now face Galway in the Leinster final on June 6th after the Tribesmen’s come from behind win against Wexford.
It finished 2-31 to 3-20 at Chadwicks Wexford Park, where goals from Jack O’Connor, Lee Chin (penalty) and Cillian Byrne saw the fired-up hosts moving towards a 10-point lead by the half-hour mark.
Galway dug deep in the second-half to trim their deficit down to two and they’d hit the front with Jason Rabbitte’s goal on 55 minutes.
Conor Cooney registered three points in-a-row for the visitors afterwards and then the same player hammered in a penalty to put a seal only his side’s provincial final spot.
Meanwhile, Offaly are into the All-Ireland SHC quarter-finals for the first time since 2003 after defeating already relegated Kildare by 1-29 to 0-15 in Newbridge.
Eoghan Cahill’s 0-13 and a Brian Duignan goal in the 42nd minute helped the Faithful men keep things to script and earn a third place finish in the Leinster SHC table.
