Cork defender Robert Downey has been named in the Rebels’ starting line-up for Sunday’s Munster SHC fifth round clash against Clare.

After having suffered an ankle in injury in last month’s meeting with Limerick, it was thought that Downey would be sidelined for the Munster final on June 7th should the Leesiders make it there.

However, the Glen Rovers clubman’s recover has saw him returning ahead of schedule as he is named to start at centre half-back for the Banner men’s visit.

The other change which manager Ben O’Connor has made to his line-up from the win over Waterford two weeks ago sees Barry Walsh coming in at right half-forward as Hugh O’Connor drops to the bench.

Elsewhere, Tim O’Mahony and Tommy O’Connell start at centre-field for the Rebels while Brian Hayes leads the attack from full-forward where he’s flanked by Blackrock’s Alan Connolly and William Buckley.

Throw-in at Pairc Ui Chaoimh is at 4pm.
