Con O’Callaghan had been named in Dublin’s starting 15 for Saturday evening’s Leinster senior football championship semi-final against Louth at Laois Hire O’Moore Park.
O’Callaghan came off at half-time during the Dubs’ win over Wicklow last time out, with fears that he had suffered a recurrence of the hamstring injury which saw him sidelined during the Allianz League.
However, the Cuala clubman is named to start in attack against the Leinster champions along with Ciaran Kilkenny who comes back into the side from the win in Aughrim two weeks ago.
The other change made by manager Ger Brennan sees Peadar Ó Cofaigh Byrne coming in at centre-field in place of Greg McEneaney.
Sean MacMahon, Luke Breathnach and Cormac Costello are all named on the capital men’s bench.
Throw-in in Portlaoise is at 7pm.
