Limerick boss John Kiely has named his side for Sunday afternoon’s Munster senior hurling championship meeting with Cork.
Ace attacker Aaron Gillane, who struck 1-7 against the Rebels in the league final earlier this month, misses out on the Pairc Ui Chaoimh clash after picking up a calf injury in training on Tuesday night.
The Patrickswell clubman is also set to be out for the Treaty men home championship game against Clare on May 3rd.
It comes as a blow to Kiely’s team which are set to embark on their provincial campaign this weekend against the holders who defeated Tipperary (0-29 to 1-22) in Thurles last Sunday.
The one enforced change from the league final for the Shannonsiders for this Sunday sees Peter Casey coming in for the injured Gillane.
Throw-in is at 2pm.
