Roscommon are expected to appeal the straight red card Daire Cregg received in their Connacht SFC opening round win over New York.
Cregg was dismissed in the first half by referee Brendan Cawley following an incident involving Eoghan McElligot and, as things stand, will miss the provincial semi-final against Mayo later this month. But Roscommon manager Mark Dowd indicated afterwards that an appeal would be forthcoming.
It was the only downside to a facile 5-22 to 1-10 victory for the Rossies in Gaelic Park last night.
