Cork attacker Conor Corbett is nearing a return for the Rebels as they currently prepare for their third Allianz Football League outing against Offaly this weekend.

Corbett has yet to feature for the Leesiders in 2026 having suffered a shoulder injury before Christmas but recently returned to training.

Speaking to EchoLive.ie, Cork boss John Cleary gave a largely positive update on the injury concerns within his squad this week as they look to make it three wins from three in Division 2 when they visit Offaly in Tullamore on Sunday (2pm).

“Seán Walsh picked up a bit of a knock the last day and we will assess him now as the week goes on,” he said.

“Conor Corbett is just back in training. We will be assessing him and it’s a case of seeing how the week goes.

“We have a very good medical department and we take their advice on all players coming back from injury. Conor has been very unfortunate with injuries, but hopefully now he has put them behind him and he can go on an injury-free run.

“Also, we have a number on the panel involved in the Sigerson Cup final tomorrow night, so we will see how they come through that.

“Other than that, we have no fresh injury concerns.”
