Dingle delivered a sensational comeback victory against Ballyboden St Enda’s this afternoon to book their place in the All-Ireland club senior football championship final on January 18th.
The Kerry champions stood up when they needed to most in the second-half of normal time and again in extra time to edge a 1-26 to 1-24 victory at Pairc Ui Chaoimh and secure their Croke Park date against either Scotstown or St Brigid’s in two weeks.
Pádriag Corcoran’s men looked to be in bother at the end of the first-half of normal time, trailing by 0-14 to 0-5, as Colm Basquel, Ross McGarry and Daire Sweeney were among those to do the damage for ‘Boden in the opening 30 minutes at the Cork venue.
The Dublin side had registered the first seven points unanswered before moving towards their nine-point lead at the half and would add a goal through Basquel six minutes into the restart.

Dingle responded with points via the excellent Tom O’Sullivan and substitute Paul Geaney (2) and got their goal in the 44th minute through Tadhg de Brun to bring themselves back within five points.
O’Sullivan made it a four-point game with 10 minutes remaining and then got a crucial two-pointer down the home stretch, with Conor Geaney and McGarry swapping singles ahead of Paul Geaney sailing one over from beyond the arc in the third minute of injury-time which left it at 1-20 apiece when the full-time whistle was blown.
The Leinster champions regrouped and dominated large portions of the first 10 minutes of extra time, with Sweeney backing up a free with a two-pointer from distance ahead of Dylan Geaney tapping over at the other end just before the break.
Michael Geaney and Paul Geaney fired over the first two points of the second-half to square things up, with a McGarry point at the other end proving to be Eamon O'Reilly's side's last as Paul Geaney’s two-point effort sailed between the posts, bringing his tally off the bench to 0-8, and Mark O’Connor provided what proved to be the insurance score on an unforgettable day for the Dingle.
