Rory O’Connor was already turning his thoughts to the Leinster club SHC final against Ballyhale Shamrocks at Croke Park on December 6 after St Martin’s eased past Naas at Chadwicks Wexford Park.
Currently on an extended stay home from Australia, O’Connor maintained his scintillating form by shooting 0-14 as the Wexford champions ran out 0-21 to 0-11 winners to qualify for their first-ever provincial final.
“I think every win we’re getting in Leinster is proving to ourselves that we’re good enough,” he told TG4.
“Having said that, Ballyhale are a super team. There’s no point saying anything else. We played them in 2019 in the first round of Leinster and we got a right beating in Nowlan Park.
“But I think we’ve developed, we’ve matured and are really looking forward to Saturday week.”
