Monaghan champions Scotstown will play Derry winners Newbridge in the last four of the Ulster club senior football championship after both sides came through their quarter-final by six points on Sunday.
Winners of the last three SFC titles in the Farney County, Scotstown had too much for Donegal counterparts Naomh Conaill in Clones as it finished 2-16 to 0-16 in favour of the hosts.
Darragh Murray netted two goals for David McCague’s men inside the opening 16 minutes as they powered towards a commanding 2-10 to 0-6 lead at half-time.
Glenties reduced their arrears to eight with the help of a Shea Malone two-pointer early in the second-half, but they’d go on to fall a dozen behind as three scores from Max Maguire, including a two-pointer, helped to rubberstamp the victory for Scotstown.
The later game in the northern province saw Newbridge dealing first time Armagh champions Madden Raparees an 0-18 to 0-12 defeat at the Box-It Athletic Grounds.

Having saw off Dunloy (1-14 to 0-11) in the preliminary round last weekend, Gavin Devlin’s men continued their good form by running up a 0-5 to 0-2 lead before Madden battled back to level at 0-7 apiece on the half-hour mark.
Newbridge would grab a point before half-time and then kick on in the second-half, outscoring the home side by 0-10 to 0-5 to cement their place in the last four.
