All-Ireland club senior hurling champions Na Fianna have been dethroned after St Martin’s dealt them a 1-21 to 2-17 defeat at Chadwicks Wexford Park this afternoon to advance to the Leinster club SHC semi-finals.

The Wexford champions sent over the last three scores in injury-time to send their Dublin counterparts packing, with the sides having been all square at half-time (0-11 to 1-8) before AJ Murphy’s brilliant goal saw Na Fianna hitting the front in the 43rd minute.

A second St Martin’s goal from Barry O'Connor brought this cracking tie level with five minutes remaining and, despite falling behind in injury-time, the home side were able to summon a big finish with Rory O'Connor to the fore for them to get over the line against their capital counterparts.

They now face Naas in the Leinster semi-final after the Kildare’s seven-in-a-row winners edged out Mount Leinster Rangers of Carlow.

It finished 2-17 to 1-17 at Netwatch Cullen Park, where goals from Charlie Sheridan and Jack Sheridan either side of half-time made the difference for the visitors.

Meanwhile, 12-time champions Ballyhale Shamrocks secured their place in the last four of the eastern province tanks to a hard fought 0-25 to 1-18 win against Offaly champions Kilcormac-Killoughey.

TJ Reid struck a dozen points for the Kilkenny kingpins and Eoin Cody chipped in with 0-5, while at the other end Adam Screeney registered 1-5 for champions Kilcormac-Killoughey who had led by 1-10 to 0-10 at half-time.

Cody, Reid and Adrian Mullen got Ballyhale motoring after the change of ends though, as they won out by four points at UPMC Nowlan Park where some unsavoury scenes followed the final whistle.

Henry Shefflin’s side will now face Clough/Ballacolla in the semi-finals after the Laois champions made their goals count in a 2-16 to 0-20 win against Castletown Geoghegan (Westmeath) in Portlaoise.

Both of the winners’ goal came in the second-half, with Castletown Geoghegan having held a 0-11 to 0-8 lead at the break with their marksman Niall O’Brien to the fore ahead of a brace of goals from Willie Dunphy turning the game in the hosts’ favour.
