St Finbarr’s edged out Nemo Rangers by 1-14 to 1-13 at Pairc Ui Chaoimh this afternoon to claim their third Cork Premier senior football championship title in eight years.
Substitute Cillian Myers-Murray was the hero for Barrs as his point two minutes into injury-time proved the difference between the sides when all was said and done.

The victors had held a two-point advantage after 20 minutes of this decider prior to Kevin O’Donovan’s brilliant goal storming Nemo into the lead and they’d go on towards a 1-9 to 0-10 advantage at half-time.

Rebels hurling star Brian Hayes surged Barrs back in front with a neatly finished goal in the first minute of the second-half and they’d go on to extend their lead to four before the 23-time champions came with a late push.
Mark Cronin’s frees and a Conor Horgan two-pointer had the scoreboard reading 1-13 apiece before Myers-Murray landed what proved to be the winner for Barrs in injury as they recorded their club’s 11th ever SFC success.
