A dozen points from Sean Currie helped Na Fianna to their fourth straight win in this year’s Dublin SHC.

Shane Barrett netted early in either half for the Mobhi Road men as they eased to a comprehensive 3-32 to 1-8 victory over Craobh Chiarain at Parnell Park on Friday night. AJ Murphy was the other goalscorer on the night for the Tommy Moore Cup holders, who held an unassailable 2-14 to 1-5 half-time lead.

Even with the likes of Conor McHugh and Liam Rushe missing from the side that stormed to a maiden All-Ireland club crown in January, Na Fianna proved a class apart, with twelve different players getting their names on the scoresheet.

In the curtain-raiser of a Parnell Park Dublin SHC double-header, Jonathan McGuirk’s injury-time goal proved to be the decisive blow as St Brigid’s defeated 14-man St Vincent’s by 1-22 to 0-21, Cillian O’Neill having been sent off three minutes from the break.

Cian O’Sullivan slotted six points for the winners, while Paul Winters top-scored with 0-11.
