Veteran Cork attacker Seamus Harnedy has been ruled out of Saturday’s All-Ireland SHC semi-final against Dublin with a hamstring injury.
The St Ita’s clubman misses out on the sold-out clash at Croke Park after scoring two points in last month’s dramatic Munster final victory over Limerick.
“Seamus has a hamstring issue, unfortunately,” Cork manager Pat Ryan revealed to The Echo.
“He’s back running in training this week. You’d be hoping he’d be back if we made it to the final but it’ll need some work.”
The semi-final will also come too soon for wing back Ger Millerick who is continuing his recovery from a broken finger sustained against Waterford, but captain Robert Downey, Niall O’Leary and Declan Dalton are all available after shaking off knocks.
