Mayo continued their winning ways in the Nickey Rackard Cup by seeing off Louth on a 2-23 to 2-18 scoreline in Castlebar this afternoon.

After trailing by 1-14 to 1-11 at the break, a Sioman Thomas goal two minutes into the restart saw the Westerners edging in front before they conceded a penalty eight minutes later which Leon Fox expertly converted to the top corner of the net.

Fox’s strike made it 2-15 to 2-13 in favour of the Wee County, but the hosts were able to level matters by the 59th minute and the scores of Shane Boland and Eoin Delaney down the home stretch secured them their third win on the bounce.

In Enniskillen, a rampant Sligo side hit Fermanagh for seven goals to claim their second win in three games.

It finished 7-20 to 2-18 at Brewster Park, where the sides has been all square after 37 minutes in 2-10 apiece, before the visitors went on to net five more goals via Andrew Kilcullen (3), Conor Griffin and Fergal O’Kelly-Lynch.
