Dublin bounced back from their opening defeat to Meath in the Leinster U20 football championship by handing Offaly a 2-17 to 1-13 defeat at Faithful Fields last night.

Joe Quigley and Paddy Kelly struck the goals for the Dubs, who held a one-point lead at the break, with Kelly’s 56th minute goal sealing the deal for them.

In Kinnegad, Meath made it two wins from two by seeing off neighbours Westmeath on a 0-19 to 0-12 scoreline.

The Royals’ red-hot start saw them out to a 0-10 to 0-0 lead, with midfielder Michael McIvor sending over five of those points in the first 11 minutes.
