The GAA’s Central Council has cleared the way for Munster to host a game Páirc Úi Chaoimh in December, while June will see the Irish women’s soccer team playing a Nations League game at the Cork venue.

The Central Council’s decision today means that the 45,000-capacity stadium could stage Munster’s Champions Cup game or the post-Christmas interpro against Leinster at the end of this year.

It also confirms that Ireland WNT will play Slovenia on June 3rd at Páirc Úi Chaoimh.

July of last year saw the Girls in Green defeating France 3-1 at the Leeside ground in their final Euro 2025 League A Group 3 qualifier, while Munster played Crusaders there in February of last year having defeated a South Africa Select XV at the same stadium in November 2022.
