Kerry picked up their first home win of this year’s Allianz Football League campaign after seeing off Armagh by 2-21 to 0-17 in Tralee this evening.

Jack O’Connor’s men got off to a dream start that saw them 0-5 to 0-1 up when Dylan Geaney hammered in their first goal in the 10th minute.

They’d outscore the All-Ireland champions by 0-3 to 0-2 over the next quarter of an hour before Paudie Clifford tucked away their second goal from a penalty, which would help them to go on to lead by 2-13 to 0-6 at the half.

The visitors made a marked improvement after the change of ends, with four Rory Grugan points and scores from Oisin Conaty and Jarly Òg Burns taking some tarnish off the scoreline.

However, the Munster champions were never going to let this one slip as talisman David Clifford helped them to win out by 10 points in the end, with the only negative on the evening for them being the shoulder injury suffered by midfielder Diarmuid O’Connor.
