London recorded their third consecutive win in Division 3 of Allianz Hurling League at Cavan expense this afternoon in Ruislip.
Liam O’Brien’s goal helped the visitors to lead by six at half-time, but the Exiles would level it up by the 57th minute through David Devine’s ‘65’ and the points of Devine, Stephen Whelan and Evan Kelly sealed a 0-19 to 1-10 victory in the end.
Wicklow got their second win of the league campaign with an impressive performance against Armagh at the BOX-IT Athletic Grounds, where it finished 2-19 to 0-16 in favour of the visitors.
The Leinster side trailed by 0-11 to 1-6 at the half before nudging ahead early in the second-half and lashing in a Seanie Germaine goal which paved the path to victory for them as their Orchard counterparts slumped to a second defeat.
In Enniscrone, Liam Lavin’s 1-4 proved crucial for Mayo as they edged Sligo by 1-12 to 0-13 for a winning start to their Division 3 campaign.
After seeing their first-round fixture against Cavan on opening weekend postponed as a result of Éowyn, the visitors trailed the Yeats men by three points at the halfway stage before digging deep in the second-half to claim both points.
In Division 4, Fermanagh made their goals count in a 2-14 to 0-15 win against Monaghan at Brewster Park, where the goals of Tom Keenan and Jimmy Tormey helped secure the derby win for the Ernesiders.
