Gavin White will captain the Kerry senior footballers for a second time this year.
The 2022 All-Star, who previously skippered the Kingdom in 2019 when they lost the All-Ireland SFC final to Dublin after a replay, has been nominated by his club Dr Crokes, who are given the honour as county champions. He succeeds Paudie Clifford in the role.
“Dr Crokes have nominated Gavin White as Kerry captain for the 2025 season. We wish Gavin and all of the Kerry team the best of luck for the season ahead," the Killarney club said.
Meanwhile, Aughnamullen's Mícheál Bannigan has been named as the new Monaghan senior football captain in succession to Kieran Duffy. The vice-captains are Ryan McAnespie and goalkeeper Rory Beggan.
TweetMonaghan GAA is absolutely delighted to announce that our Senior Football Captain for 2025 is Mícheál Bannigan.
