Limerick football panel named as O'Dea bows out

Limerick manager Jimmy Lee has named a 38-man panel ahead of the start of the Allianz Football League.

A notable absentee is veteran Kilteely-Dromkeen defender Sean O’Dea who has retired from inter-county duty after 11 seasons in the green and white. He is one of 16 departures from last year’s squad.

Limerick will be captained this season by Cillian Fahy from Dromcollogher-Broadford, with Barry Coleman and Tommie Childs acting as vice-captains. They open their Division 4 campaign away to Longford on Sunday.
