Fermanagh hurling manager Joe Baldwin has appointed Rory Porteous and Tom Keenan as his joint-captains for the coming season.

The duo take over from Ryan Bogue, who skippered the Ernesiders to Lory Meagher Cup glory last summer. Porteous lines out at full back, while Keenan led the attack last year after recovering from a long-term injury. Fermanagh will open their Allianz Hurling League Division 4 campaign against Louth in Dowdallshill on Sunday week.

That will be followed by the visit of Longford to Brewster Park in a repeat of last year’s Lory Meagher Cup final and further home ties against Monaghan and Leitrim before a trip to Páirc an hÉireann in Birmingham to face Warwickshire.

In the Nickey Rackard Cup, Fermanagh face Armagh, Louth, Sligo, Roscommon and Mayo in their round-robin fixtures.
