Ballycastle man Michael McShane is the new Antrim U20 hurling manager.
The former Slaughtneil and Tyrone boss takes over from Paudie Shivers, who is part of new senior manager Davy Fitzgerald’s backroom team which also includes ex-Kerry coach Pat Bennett, former Antrim hurling star Neil McManus and his Cushendall club-mate Arron Graffin.
It’s understood that ex-St John’s and Antrim hurler Brian McFall will be one of McShane’s selectors. Antrim suffered a 2-12 to 2-15 defeat to Derry in this year’s Ulster U20HC final and are hoping to go one better in 2025.
Meanwhile, former star players Shane Elliott and Liam Richmond have been appointed joint-managers of the Dunloy senior hurlers for 2025.
