Postponed Leinster club SFC clash refixed for Sunday

November 14, 2024

Heavy fog caused the clash at the Athletic Grounds to be called off at half-time

The outstanding Leinster club SFC quarter-final between St Loman’s (Westmeath) and Castletown (Wexford) has been rescheduled for this Sunday at Lakepoint Park, Mullingar at 3.30pm.

The game was postponed at short notice on Tuesday night due to heavy fog in Mullingar. Castletown, who completed a Wexford SFC and IAHC double earlier this month, were originally fixed to play Wolfe Tones of Longford in the Leinster club JHC quarter-final at Glennon Brothers Pearse Park on Sunday, but this will now take place at a later date.

The winner of the football clash will be at home to Louth champions Ardee St Mary’s six days later in the provincial semi-final.
