Ballygunner came good in the second-half to see off Doon by 0-25 to 0-20 at the TUS Gaelic Grounds and advance to the last four in the Munster club senior hurling championship.
The Waterford kingpins have won the last three Munster club SHC titles and were hot favourites coming into this clash, but it was the newly crowned Limerick champions that led by 0-12 to 0-8 at half-time as Eddie Stokes, Darragh O’Donovan and Adam English all sent over points for the hosts in the run up to the break.

Five minutes into the restart and the east Limerick men had a chance to stretch their advantage when Jack Ryan raced through on goal but he was denied by an incredible reflex save from Stephen O’Keeffe.
The holders soon reduced their deficit to three via Dessie Hutchinson and moved up through the gears with more points from Hutchinson (3) and Patrick Fitzgerald helping them hit the front.
English and Fitzgerald swapped points after that ahead of Pauric Mahony and Hutchinson seeing out the five-point win for the Gunners.
