Adam English starred as Doon secured their first ever Limerick senior hurling championship title with a 0-16 to 2-9 victory against Na Piarsaigh at the TUS Gaelic Grounds.
English sent over 10 points for his side before grabbing the winner with two minutes to go in normal time.
Na Piarsaigh were after bagging two goals in as many minutes via Aidan Breen and David Dempsey midway through the first-half, but the would-be winners found the points to leave them just one behind (2-3 to 0-8) at the break.
The points of Gareth Thomas, Barry Murphy, English and Darragh O’Donovan would see Doon surge in front after the change of ends.
The city side stayed in touch and drew the decider level through the returning Peter Casey before English drilled over from centre-field to secure Doon’s inaugural John Daly Cup success.
