Harty Cup up-and-running

The 2024/25 Dr Harty Cup got underway yesterday afternoon.

Holders Nenagh CBS had to settle for 0-19 apiece draw with Midleton CBS in Ballyagran, while 2023 champions Cashel Community School were 3-15 to 0-18 winners over Charleville CBS in Ballyporeen.

Newcomers Tralee CBS must wait a little longer to make their debut in the prestigious Munster U19 'A' Post Primary Schools Hurling Championship. 

The results are as follows:

Group 1 – JTBCS Hospital 4-20 Rice College, Ennis 0-20
Group 1 – Christian Brothers College 0-19 SNTN, Doon 0-9

Group 2 – Ardscoil Ris 2-25 Castletroy College 2-16
Group 2 – Our Lady's, Templemore 3-25 Colaiste Choilm 1-12

Group 3 – Cashel CS 3-15 Scoil Na mBraithre, Rathluirc 0-18
Group 3 – Blackwater CS, Lismore 2-16 St Joseph's, Tulla 0-20

Group 4 – Nenagh CBS 0-19 Midleton CBS 0-19

Group 5 – De La Salle College 3-26 Gaelcholaiste Mhuire 1-17

Group 6 – Thurles CBS 2-21 St Flannan's 2-21
