Cratloe moved into the semi-finals of the Clare senior hurling championship thanks to a 2-15 to 2-14 victory over Scariff in Ennis earlier today.

Having trailed by 2-8 to 2-6 at the halfway stage, the winners struck five points without reply in the closing stages of this quarter-final to help earn their victory.

The superb Conor McGrath sent over his second point to make it 2-12 to 2-12 in the 48th minute ahead of Daire Neville landing a brace of points.

Pat Ryan pulled back a sorely needed score for Scariff but John O’Gorman’s men were able to see out the surprise win which puts them into the last four in the Canon Hamilton Cup race for the first time in three years.

The later game at Cusack Park saw Inagh/Kilnamona recording a 2-16 to 0-20 win against Eire Og, Ennis.

Eoghan Foudy found the net after just seven seconds to mark the perfect start for Inagh/Kilnamona and they’d raise the green flag again in the 25th minute via Niall Mullins to help usher his side towards a 2-9 to 0-8 half-time lead.

Danny Russell and David Reidy helped reduce the deficit down to one for Eire Og after the change of ends, but the victors got crucial points in injury-time after Eamonn Foudy had blocked a Reidy penalty on the hour mark to hold on for the win.
