There was late drama in the Tipperary senior hurling championship this afternoon as Max Hackett’s injury-time goal saw Moycarkey Borris advancing to the semi-finals at the expense of holders Kiladangan.
It finished 2-21 to 3-16 at Semple Stadium, where the defending champions had led by eight points at half-time before Moycarkey Borris brought themselves back into contention with a Tom Ryan goal early in the restart.
Brian McLoughney found the net for Kiladangan midway through the second-half to make it 3-15 to 1-15, but their opponents kept in the fight and this goal from Hackett (watch it below) in the third minute of injury-time dramatically clinched their place in the last four of the Dan Breen Cup race.
