Stephen Duff has been ratified as Laois ladies football intermediate manager on a full-time basis.

The appointment comes after the Ballyfin native had served as interim manager following the resignation of joint-managers Tom Devereux and Billy Kiernan in the wake of Laois’ relegation to Division 3 of the National League last spring. Duff was in charge for the Leinster and All-Ireland Senior Championship campaigns, and was unlucky to see his side drop to the intermediate grade after a last-gasp defeat to neighbours Kildare.

Duff has also enjoyed success with DCU – he guided them to a two-in-a-row of O’Connor Cups at the start of the year – and the Portlaoise ladies.

“Laois LGFA are delighted to announce the ratification of Stephen Duff as Laois Ladies Intermediate Manager by the County Board. His management will follow in due course. Best wishes to him in the coming year," a county board statement read.
