Last weekend was a busy one for Cora Staunton.

On Saturday evening, the four-time All-Ireland ladies football winner was on the sideline in a coaching capacity for Ballina Stephenites as they opened their Mayo SFC defence with a comfortable 0-20 to 0-9 Group 2 victory over Mayo Gaels in Mayo Abbey.

The following day, The Sunday Game pundit bagged a hat-trick of goals for Carnacon in a 7-4 to 1-12 victory over Castlebar Mitchels in their Division 1 League Shield semi-final.

The 42-year-old was appointed Stephenites coach at the start of the year, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role from her playing career with Carnacon, Mayo and Great Western Sydney Giants in the AFLW as well as from her involvement with the Galway camogie team last year.
