While many county championships have yet to start, the Carlow SHC is just two games from completion.

Mount Leinster Rangers have already booked their county final place following a 2-19 to 1-15 victory over Ballinkillen last weekend. The former Leinster kingpins led by 0-11 to 0-9 at the interval before second half goals from Eddie Byrne and Eoin Doyle sealed the win. Padraig Hynes grabbed a late consolation goal for Ballinkillen.

Rangers will have to wait until this weekend to find out who their final opponents will be after the other semi-final between Bagenalstown Gaels and St Mullins ended in a 4-14 apiece draw. A last-gasp goal from a Craig Doyle free earned the Gaels a second bite at the cherry, just a week after St Mullins had hammered them in the final game of the round-robin series.
