Brendan Devenney is confident that Donegal will beat Galway in Sunday’s All-Ireland SFC semi-final if they tighten up at the back.

The Ulster champions conceded 0-18 against underdogs Louth in the quarter-final and need to improve defensively if they are to reach their first All-Ireland final in 10 years.

"Against Louth last time out, it was almost like Donegal knew they could score at will because we have so many players breaking the lines," the former Donegal attacker told BBC NI.

"We have to be more defensively solid with the threats Galway have up front, but we can play it anyway.

"Both teams have so much ability going forward and how each team shuts down the other’s forward threats will be key."
