McManus hints at retirement after Monaghan's championship exit

Monaghan star Conor McManus says he has not yet made a decision on his inter-county future, but admits that “the clock's running out on my innings”.
The Farney men exited this year’s All-Ireland football championship after losing out to Galway by 0-14 to 0-11 in the sides’ preliminary quarter-final clash this evening in Salthill.
Speculation after the game was that McManus, who made his inter-county debut in 2007, would be confirming that it was his last appearance in a Monaghan jersey, but he told RTE Sport afterwards that he has yet to make a decision on it.
"No, I haven't done that," the three-time All-Star winner stated when asked whether he had retired from inter-county football.
"Today's not about me. It's about Monaghan and we didn't get into the quarter-final. That's the biggest disappointment.
"It's no big secret that the clock's running out on my innings. But it is what it is."
