Antrim put themselves into tomorrow morning’s Tailteann Cup quarter-final draw thanks to a hard-earned 3-11 to 2-10 victory over London at Corrigan Park this afternoon.

Andy McEntee’s men came good in the second-half and capped off their win with a goal from Ruairi McCann in the third minute of injury-time to ensure their progression to the last eight.

London had made the best possible start by netting a goal four minutes in and, despite shipping a McCann goal, they’d respond with another major in the 28th minute to move back in front.

Eunan Walsh’s point late in the half would see the sides honours even (1-5 to 2-2) come half-time before the Glensmen got three clear after the turnaround and sealed their win late on after Conor Hand’s point was backed up by McCann’s goal.

Laois also had to fight to the finish to see off New York’s brave display at Laois Hire O'Moore Park, where it finished 1-13 to 1-9 in favour of the hosts.

The O’Moore men had run up an early 0-4 to 0-1 lead prior to Bobby O’Regan’s brilliantly taken goal hitting their net in the 10th minute.

From there, Alan O’Mara’s side were able to nudge in front and hold an unlikely 1-6 to 0-8 lead at the break.

Rioghan Murphy and Mark Barry moved Laois back ahead within seven minutes of the second-half and, after the visitors had got back level, the crucial moment would come when Mark Timmons blasted in the hosts’ goal with 13 minutes remaining.

Justin McNulty’s men were able to see out the four-point win from there and join fellow preliminary quarter-final winners Limerick and Wicklow in Monday morning’s draw.
