Kilkenny defender Mikey Carey has emerged as a major injury doubt for Saturday's Leinster SHC final against Dublin.

An ankle injury is threatening the Gowran man's participation in the decider which key forward John Donnelly is also expected to miss after suffering a serious thumb injury in last Sunday week's round-robin win over Wexford at UPMC Nowlan Park.

The Cats are bidding for a five-in-a-row of Bob O'Keeffe Cups.
